Whats new in the 503..

SOOOO Kelton has officially been out.. du dudu DAH!!.. 3 months tomorrow.. pretty dang exciting. We have been really bad at keeping this updated so I will try and pack whats been going on into this post. Elder Wilde is doing AMAZING!! He is tackling on baptisms left and right and we are so proud of him! My mom is nervous that if he keeps it up they are going to end up keeping him. He is still with the same companion Elder Liljenquist and his new P-Days are now on Tuesdays just so everyone knows.. But here are most of his weekly updates :)

June 19th~ Today we did a lot of tracting. This area is so big and dead. We met our first investigator and I gave out my first Book of Mormon. Since our area used to be two areas it is huge and it is just me and my companion. It is a rich area and very hard hearted. There are a lot who speak Spanish, so we got some Spanish supplies and it looks like I will have to pick it up as well at least a little. I saw my first rain here.
June 20th~Today we had a district meeting along with breakfast it was delicious! We knocked on doors for almost an hour. We came back to the apartment for lunch and I had an extra half hour so I got a much needed nap. Not a very successful day but I am just doing my best and trying to follow the spirit. I hope we get these two wards kick started soon.
June 21st~Covering two wards we had meetings all day. We got to eat dinner with a family. Like everyday we get fed well maybe I will gain weight. We found two new investigators which is pretty rare here. We weren't having any luck so we stopped and prayed and found two in the next 5 doors we knocked on.
June 22nd~Today we did our studies at the park which was nice. Then he got lunch at Quiznos :~}. We tracted a lot today and found one new investigator. Linda is still on tract to be baptised on the 11th that's so awesome. I work so hard all day that when night comes I love to sleep.
June 23rd~So crazy day. We tracted for 3 hours and 45 min. WOW we went to a whole row of mansions then went to a trailer park haha but it was a change of scenery. We have 3 lessons tomorrow.
June 24th~Not a lot of time today but we got to teach a lesson and go to district meetings not a lot of fun. Not a whole lot of other stuff to go along with this letter cuz it pretty much says everything it need to.
I love you all so much and I'm glad I'm getting letters. It means a ton to me. I don't get to write a ton but I did a little day by day and I will keep doing it. I love you all so much Keep writing!!!!So that is pretty much his week in a nut shell. I thank you all for everything you have done a continue to do for him and ME!!!! We also got some pictures but I don't know how to attach them so they will send. If any of you can tell please do and I will send some out. Anyway just thought you might like a little update. Have a great week. I will let you all know when I hear from him again. If any of you get letter from him and would like to share anything I would love to hear.

July 2nd~ Today is P-Day I love doing my e-mails its a blast. Today we played football on a turf it was 115 degrees, so hot, but a awesome break. I also got a hair cut. Tomorrow is exchanges with Zone leaders.
July 3rd~ Exchanges today. I was with Elder Wood he is my Zone Leader He is 25 band from Phoenix AZ. He is really chill. We did the usual Tract and have people cancel appointments. Tomorrow is a no tract day we are suppose to chill with the members. So that will be cool.
July 4th~ Whew 4th of July party. we got to stay out until 10:30! Not in our church clothes. This morning we went and ate breakfast at the bishops house He had a putting green. So we had a tourney. I totally won HAHA. Then we just kinda hung out and talked to people. We went to party at a less active members house they were all drunk and high, so funny, I guess that's why they are less active. So we bailed and just went home.
July 5th~ Fast Sunday only 22 more left HAHA. I had to bare my testimony twice I was scared but hey whatever. We also set up Linda's baptism for Saturday I'm way excited. A little bit of pay off for all the hard work. Hope you all had a great 4th.
July 6th~ Hey Y'all Well today was funny. we did companionship weekly planning for the first half of the day. Then we went tracting. Some lady yelled at us and kicked us out of a complex, so of course I was sarcastic back just to piss her off, you know me. She said if we weren't gone in 30 seconds she would call the cops. So we sat in the car just long enough to have her pick up the phone and then we left. We weren't breaking the law so it was funny. I waved as we left HAHA well that's the excitement for today. Aren't we all glad to know he is starting to feel at home?
July 7th~ Today I extended my first baptism commitment to kid named Joey and he said... Yes! I can't wait to see if it goes through It will be very cool. He is 18 and is very interested. Then we went and taught a FHE lesson to my favorite members the Luceros they are way cool.
July 8th~ Wow today was busy. We taught 3 lessons and Linda had her baptism lesson/interview. It's official. Then we went to dinner with the Deatons they took us to Red Robin. I snuck into the bathroom to see the baseball scores HAHA. I love going out to eat! Tomorrow is P-Day, that is always fun. I get to golfing next week! How great is that I am pretty stoked HA. (Colton I think that was a in your face wink wink).
Well I guess that is all the real news. I hope all is well. I love you all and as always keep in touch! He also said that they went to the store and some guy came up and paid for their groceries so cool. (Mom that's pay back for all the lunches you have bought for missionaries over the years). Thanks
July 9~ Today as you know is P-Day. We went shopping and as I told you some guy we have never met bought our groceries! It was so nice. After that we went tracting for 2 hours and only talked to 3 people. One old lady talked to us for an hour! Holy Crap!!
July 10~ Craziest day ever! Sean called us early and asked to be baptised tomorrow. So we called the president and he okayed it!So tomorrow I will baptise him! And Sunday Lilly (his companion) will confirm him. I am so excited it is crazy. Sean has worked so hard and so have we it's nice to see things pay off. This is like a never occurring thing that it went this fast. I am stoked!!
July 11~ Today I baptised Sean. It was such a great experience. Also Linda has a bad back so they needed 2 people to baptise her so I helped. It was crazy I got to do like 2 baptisms today. I loved it. It was such a long day but totally worth it! We talked with a guy with a broken Ferrari. Then we gave a blessing (I don't think it was to the broken Ferrari) and had dinner. Today rocked!
July 12~ Today it rained all day. Being in Oregon I know that sounds crazy! After sacrament we had our confirmations. It was a really cool experience. Sometime members just pick us up for dinner and they all drive sweet cars Audi, Accra's, BMW, Cadillacs I feel rich HAHA. They are all so awesome nice. I'm so exhausted I only got 6 hours of sleep last night.
July 13~ Well here I am on exchanges again. I am with Elder Allen. He is way cool and relaxed. I am staying in the mansion again tonight HAHA. We set a baptism date with Joey for Aug.8th crazy! We have turned this area around. I know it's not a lot but it feels good. It is rare for this mission I'm really excited!
July 14th~ Well for my exchange today we went to downtown Portland. It was so fun. They really do have the craziest people so many homeless but it is a safe place. Then we went and did service for a 93 year old guy. He reminded me of Nanny. He was so sad his kids were taking away his car he is still very able it was sad though.
July 15~ today we had district meeting just like we do every Wednesday! Then we went tracting and then had dinner with Linda. She is already acting like a life long member. But all of this hard work is starting to catch up. I'm exhausted but as usual tomorrow is a new day. He said in his e-mail that next week on P-Day that they were going to Astoria, that were The Goonies was filmed.
He also said it has been so hot he thinks he might melt but because of the humidity he could evaporate. Also his companion says we need to find him a girl to write to him so if anyone knows one he would love to hear from her LOL. It was kinda nice (and hard) but I actually got to e-mail back and forth with him for a little bit this week. He sounds good and loves all that everyone has done for him. Thank you again
July 16~ Today I got to go golfing. Even as a missionary it can be frustrating. But hey it's better then doing nothing. Then we went to an outlet mall I didn't buy anything I wish I would have taken a nap instead! We taught a quick lesson to Omar and Gabby Spanish mostly it's funny to try to communicate. HAHA
July 17~ ! month in Oregon crazy! It's so dang hot and humid. Where is that rain I heard about? Maybe I got on the wrong plane!Today we had our interviews with President Dyches he is way awesome. Then we tracted and that's about all. Long day but also short.
July 18~ Today we went to breakfast at the stake presidents house. After that we did some service. For dinner a lady was grilling us steaks we looked out the door and they were on fire! It was so funny. Who would guess burnt crisp steak is so good when your hungry. Then we tracted yay!! so fun haha. No lessons :o(.
July 19~ Sunday Sunday Sunday! Churches as usual. After we went with Veronica, a really nice investigator who just likes to talk. we went with her to her churches chili cook off. It was pretty fun. As we went around tasting all of hen we tried a really good one. As we talked e found out it was made with coffee and beer HAHA. So we stopped eating that one! I laughed so hard! Then we just met people and finally came back to the apartment. I'm so excited to sleep!!!
July 20~ Well Monday. We spent the first part of the day to plan our week. It took a little longer today having the baptisms have slowed us down. So we thought of new ideas. We had a usual dinner with FHE. Then we went to meet the new bishop. Then it was back to sleep. It seems short but it felt busy.
July 21~ Welp (yes he put welp) today we got a lot done. We had a lesson and then we went a chopped blackberry bushes for 2 hours. Whew I took like 10,000 baseball swings. HAHA keeping in shape. Then we had dinner and went with a member to find old investigators. Most have moved but we will keep trying. Now its bed time Wahoo!
July 22~ Today as usual we had district meeting in the morning. Then we went and read scriptures with a member. After that Elder Liljenquist (his companion) was sick so he was told to go to bed. I just studied. I had to call another group of missionaries to come and one stay with him and the other to come teach a lesson with me. So it's not a busy day but I got lots of studying. Tomorrow is P-Day Wahoo. So that all for this week . I hope it was good for everyone else! He also said that transfers were almost over and that one of the zone leaders was going home this week. He said they are still teaching about 5 people. Also said he still loves getting letters and pictures. With his companion being sick he got caught up on a little sleep but doubts it will really help. Now I feel like a bum I wish there was a happy medium. Good news is by the time I'm used to it I will be home!
July 23~ Well another P-Day in the books. This one sucked though. I just stayed inside all day cuz Lily was sick. I didn't even get to e-mail but I get to tomorrow. It really sad but that's all I did today. Nothing slept and read. Tomorrow will be better
July 24~ Today I got to wake up and e-mail! Then we had a new lesson with a boy named Edwin. His mom was there, she didn't speak English but sat in during the lesson. I don't know how but without understanding what we said she felt the spirit. So cool!So did he. At the end we watched "The Restoration" a DVD in Spanish they both loved it so crazy. Awesome day!!
July 25~ Today we did a volunteer job at a fair till 3. There was a classic car show. I'm excited for "Betsy" to get done! After dinner we tracted and saw the bishop. It's an early morning tomorrow 5:45 so I'm off to bed.
July 26~ Today I was at church from 7-3 HAHA pretty long. Then we went to dinner with a guy who works at Coke! He said he can get us in for a tour! After we just tracted. Funny story we knocked on a door and a guy answered and said he was an atheist and that we were idiots I said "oh thanks" He said I mean that in a nice way I said "ya that does sound nice" HAHA so he freaked out and told us we were to young to make decisions and to go home and learn something followed by a door slam in our face. So funny really grumpy old guy. I had fun. My GPS is great!
July 27~ 2 Months HAHA Wahoo 1/12th. This went by super fast... at least for me. Typical Monday weekly planning 10-4 with a lunch break. No appointments today but we are still staying busy. I'm learning a lot about my GPS I have figured it mostly out. All in all things here are good. Just chuggin along. I love all the letters so keep them up. I hope everyone has a good day. The heat here just drains me. It's so humid!
July 28~ Today I went to a meeting where they told me I wasn't transferring. I'm sure i will be here 4.5 more months. We helped a member move. It was pretty fun there were lots of people there. It was 103 today really freaking hot. Our car has AC which is nice cuz our apartment doesn't! But they say it's only this bad for a few weeks! Night
July 29~ Well today it hit 106! That is ridiculously HOT! We had a lesson with Mary she is the 84 year old and also one with Ian. It's 10:00 and like 90 in our apartment (I feel like I am at grandma's house haha). Well I will let you know how things go tomorrow in Astoria. Hope you all had a good week. One more down!
